Content Delivery Network
Tier 3 has partnered with Limelight Networks to provide our customers with an industry-leading CDN (Content Delivery Network). Since 2001 Limelight has been serving as the content delivery partner for thousands of entertainment, technology, enterprise and government entities around the world.
How does CDN work?
The CDN is a content delivery platform that enables you to offer your users the web experience they are demanding—lightening fast delivery of images, web pages, video, games, social media and software downloads. Your users will receive their desired content from the fastest point-of-presence (PoP) on our CDN regardless of their location in the world. This ensures faster page load times, more reliable, efficient transactions from your web pages, and better streaming video¬—all maximizing your users’ experience and ultimately their satisfaction.
The Tier 3/Limelight offering enables you to leverage the expertise of years of CDN operations, reduced infrastructure costs and peace of mind. You can focus on your business and not worry about the performance, reliability and scalability of your site. To help you manage your business, the reporting tools and metrics will give you deep visibility into your content delivery.

Through the Control Panel set-up and configure the CDN under the Network tab.
Using the deployment wizard to set-up the CDN (Content Delivery Network) by making your site publicly available across the CDN. A URL is then provided for you to use in your site or application.

Pricing
The CDN is pay-as-you-go pricing, no contracts or minimum usage commitments. The pricing for CDN is the same as bandwidth; however, it offloads traffic from your servers requiring reduced server resources and ultimately lower costs. In most cases, our customers have found the CDN to be more cost-effective to use for content delivery vs. their own servers.
