How does Tier 3 use secure multi-tenant in their products?
Premium Servers are used for the production or live environment and are on their own dedicated VLAN (virtual local area network). With multi-tenant all data that is stored or transferred over the platform is virtualized and contained in your environment enabling you as the customer to have a fully secure network. The servers can been accessed by direct connection, user VPN, or point-to-point VPN's from your corporate office. The SAN is virtualized using NetApp MultiStore technology that places the virtual SAN directly on the network assigned to your Premium Server environment. You can also segregate this environment even more by enabling zones to separate server communications.
Lab Servers are used for development, testing, and for demonstrations servers. These servers use the multi-tenant architecture to segregate traffic from your Premium Environment to keep each environment secure. Developers, project managers, and others can have complete control over this environment via our web-based control system to deploy and configure servers on-demand and without affecting your Premium Environment.
The Farm is our new product in beta that will deliver an on-demand web environment and uses our platform and the multi-tenant architecture to separate customers’ servers from each other while providing a fully automated web deployment and scaling on resources. Each web farm is maintained in a zone that only has access to certain shared resources and enables each customer and their applications to be secure.
