Load-Balancing and Clustering
The Farm has been architected for high performance and minimal downtime. Your sites and applications will be load balanced across a pool of servers and your data will reside on clustered database servers.
Back-ups and Disaster Recovery
- The Farm is backed up disk-to-disk on a daily basis.
- The back-up is replicated to a secondary Data Center at least 700 miles away for disaster recovery.
- The on-site back-ups are retained for 14 days and the secondary site back-up are retained for 2 days.
- Tier 3 offers customers access to their back-ups, so there is no need to worry if you accidently delete a file, over write data or have a troublesome deployment.
Auto Scaling
Our built-in Auto Scale functionality ensures your sites and applications have the right resources at the right time automatically and with no downtime. Auto Scale manages the scaling of:
- Web and application servers’ CPU and memory (increasing or decreasing)
- Web and application server pools (adding and subtracting servers)
- Database resources (increasing or decreasing)
Content Delivery Network (CDN)
- The CDN is a content delivery platform that accelerates website delivery of images, web pages, video, games, social media and software downloads.
- It maximizes user experience through high performance and reliability.
- The CDN is more cost-effective to use for content delivery vs. your own servers.
- The pricing for CDN is the same as for bandwidth; however, it offloads traffics from your servers requiring reduced server resources and ultimately lower costs.
